With just a couple more weeks of winter left, you can slowly put away those parkas and beanies and get ready to transition into spring with some of these must haves!
Flannels. Oversized flannels especially! It's easy to transition your winter flannels into a Spring thing by wearing them differently. Everyone is either wearing them casually unbuttoned, as an oversized dress or tied around their waist. Either way it looks great and I’m sure we all have a flannel that needs attention lying around somewhere.
Ankle boots. They’re coming back stronger than ever with different colors and styles. I’ve been seeing a lot of pointed toe booties everywhere as well! You probably have a go-to pair you've rocked all winter, so why not throw a cute Spring dress on and recycle those ankle boots! They’re a fashion statement on their own.
Boyfriend & Distressed Jeans. Both types of jeans have a lot of character and pair wonderfully with ankle boots with a simple tank top or even a slightly tucked in oversize tee. They can also be dressed up with a pair of pointy toe heels! I love how you can wear just about any pair of shoes with them and you’ll still look like a fashionista.
Alex and Ani Bracelets. Every wrist that I've come across has at least one Alex and Ani bracelet on. These bracelets look nice as a single accessory, stacked on top of one another or combined with other bracelets and/or a watch. It makes for a classic look and upgrades any boring outfit.
Stripes. Horizontal and vertical stripes are making an appearance everywhere from the fashion section of Pinterest to store front windows like Nordstrom. Black and blue stripes are being paired with everything from boyfriend jeans and distressed shorts to white Converses. They are also being accessorized with bright, statement necklaces and cute sunglasses. Don't forget that vertical stripes make you look longer/taller and horizontal stripes make you look curvier.
Gladiator Sandals. I thought it was just me trying to find an excuse to wear mine again but turns out everyone finds these essential for the this coming Spring! They're just so sassy and sexy!
Double sided earrings. This one may be a new idea to some but double sided earrings are becoming a trend and definitely catching the attention of fashion goers everywhere! They most certainly add a touch of elegance to an outfit and are different from the conventional stud.
Wide brim hats. They sit on top of almost every mannequin’s head because they look good with just about every outfit possible, not to mention every hair style too!
T-shirt Dresses. They may be all the rage but they seem to be sold out everywhere… but I can definitely understand why! They’re simple, comfortable and look just fine with even a messy bun. A must have when you want to bum it since they’re just as comfortable as leggings and yoga pants. Throw on that wide brim hat or a statement necklace and dress it up!
Fringe. Anything and everything fringe is popping up everywhere, from bags and boots to jackets and shirts. Fringe is just so versatile; it can either look boho chic or grunge depending on how you dress and accessorize it. Play with it!
With these essentials I have been able to create signature outfits that showcase the latest trends for Spring 2015. Whether you decide to incorporate these items into your own style, or decide to seek new articles and accessories to add to the list, we can all agree that fashion has endless possibilities. Have fun with these trends!
